Gets a value that indicates whether the media file is capable of locating a specific time in the media's duration.
Syntax
HTML N/A Scripting [ bSeek = ] object.canSeek
Possible Values
bSeek Boolean that receives one of the following values.
- false
- Default. Media file cannot locate a specific time in its duration.
true- Media can file locate a specific time in its duration.
The property is read-only. The property has a default value of false.
Remarks
Some streaming formats do not support seeking. The canSeek property should indicate whether a media type supports seeking. Some formats, such as streaming media, do not report the correct information regarding their ability to seek.
Media must be seekable ( canSeek =
true), for the clipBegin property or the clipEnd property to work on that media.
