Hello,
I am trying to convert a binary doc file to docx. When I did the conversion using MS Word, I see inside the docx (in document.xml) parameter: w10:wrap, located inside <v:shape> group.
I can't find where is this parameter in binary file.
At first I thought it couldn't be 2.9.253 Spa parameter (page 425), but it doesn't fit exactly, and also there are no "keywords" like page, margin, etc., but only descriptive text.
I searched in the documentation (ECMA-376-1:2016) and I found only one line with w10:wrap:
<w10:wrap type="square" anchorx="page" anchory="margin" /> (page 4988) and no details.
I can't find connection with binary doc specification ([MS-DOC] - v20150904)
Can you please help me?

Hi Vlado,
The w10:wrap element maps to the complex type CT_Wrap described in 19.3.2.6 wrap (Text Wrapping) in ISO 29500-4 (part 4). This is part of the VML (Vector Markup Language) support for WordprocessingML Drawing.
For the binary counterpart, this is described in MS-ODRAW 2.3.21.6 WrapText.

In my case I don't see this opid.opid = 0x0085.
Could it be rather parameter - part of "style"?
for example:

Hi Vlado,
The reason you don't see the opid.opid of 0x0085 is because "Square" is the default property for WrapText. When no property structure is included, the default value is used.
From MS-ODRAW 2.3.21.6 WrapText:
"WrapText (4 bytes): An MSOWRAPMODE enumeration value, as defined in section 2.4.3, specifying the type of wrapping that is applied to the text. The default value for this property is msowrapSquare."
If you experimentally change the .doc shape to have the "Behind" layout property, you'll see that this affects the <w10:wrap> element. At the same time, when you set to "Behind" you'll notice that there is still no WrapText property because the "Behind" property is inherited from the Group Shape Boolean Properties' (2.3.4.44) fBehindDocument:
"a - fBehindDocument (1 bit): A bit that specifies whether this shape is set to display behind other document content. If fUsefBehindDocument equals 0x0, this value MUST be ignored. The default value for this property is 0x0."
So there may be multiple properties at play when converting from .doc to .docx.
