Hello Thibault
Once a Public IP address resource is deleted in Azure, it is released back into the pool and may be reassigned to another customer. Unfortunately, Azure does not provide a way to manually reclaim a specific IP when creating a new Public IP resource.
Azure does not guarantee that the same IP will be available if you try to recreate it. However, here are some steps you can take:
- Sometimes, deleted IPs remain unallocated for a short time. You can try to create a new public IP and may have the chance you get the same one.
- Reserve static IPs in the future: If you need a stable IP, always create a static public IP instead of a dynamic one. This ensures the IP won’t change unless you manually delete it.
