Using Surface Go as my only PC for college.

I need a PC for starting college next month. I’d like a surface Go, but my university requires me to use a statistics package (SPSS) which is not available as an app. It is very old package. My questions

  1. Is it likely that i would be able to use this package on the Surface Go?
  2. Is there any reason why I shouldn’t exclusively use a Surface Go for all my college IT needs?

thank you

Nicola

Very minimal requirements in terms of processor etc. I think my question actually relates more to Windows 10, as i am not familiar with it. I assume it can run programs that are not apps? Like older windows programs?

as long as you switch out of S mode.

    >I assume it can run programs that are not apps? Like older windows programs?

To learn more or switch out of S mode, go to the Microsoft Store  within Windows

and search for "switch out of S mode".
