You would need to Switch out of S mode - This is the free switch from Windows 10 Home in S mode to Windows 10 Home if the statistics program is not in the Windows Store. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4023898/windows-10-switching-out-of-s-mode
Using Surface Go as my only PC for college.
I need a PC for starting college next month. I’d like a surface Go, but my university requires me to use a statistics package (SPSS) which is not available as an app. It is very old package. My questions
- Is it likely that i would be able to use this package on the Surface Go?
- Is there any reason why I shouldn’t exclusively use a Surface Go for all my college IT needs?
thank you
Nicola

2018-08-13T16:14:39+00:00 Very minimal requirements in terms of processor etc. I think my question actually relates more to Windows 10, as i am not familiar with it. I assume it can run programs that are not apps? Like older windows programs?

To learn more or switch out of S mode, go to the Microsoft Store within Windows
and search for "switch out of S mode".
