Microsoft Access Runtime vs. Trusted Locations

Hi,

I am trying to run an Access database Frontend (ACCDE-file) on a computer which has MS Office installed, but not the MS Access App. The Access Runtime module seem not be executing the ACCDE-file since it is not stored in a "Trusted Location".

From what I can read, you can only add Trusted Locations from respective App (Trusted Locations for Word in the Word App, for Excel in Excel App and so on).

My question is - how do a create a Trusted Location for MS Access (my ACCDE-file) so I can execute this file without having MS Access installed on the computer if this only can be done through the MS Access App? If I had MS Access installed, and thereby being able to add Trusted Locations for MS Access, I wouldn't need the Runtime module? Feels like a Momentum 22.

The Access Project is created in MS Access for MS 365 (64-bit), we are running Windows 11 (64-bit) and the MS Access Runtime module is the 64-bit version.

Thankful for help!

This site Ribbons for Access 2007 / Access 2010 – Trusted Locations

As an executable tool that can be used to se the current folder as a Trusted location. Download the tool into the folder and run it from the folder and it will set the folder as Trusted. So you can pass the tool along to users.

You can create them manually or using a script. Read the following for all the necessary information on the subject:

    Thank you for answering fast!

Is there an another Access Runtime where the user can "approve" a location as one normally does in Excel, Word etc.? We have some restrictions on our computers so we cannot edit the Registry ourselves.

It seems like a quite "technical" solution to an event, which I assume, will occur to a big share of all users?
