Installing Microsoft Project on Mac

I recently got Parallels to be able to run windows and download Microsoft project on my Macbook Air (M1). The MS project file I downloaded is a 64 bit version and the error i received explained that my laptop isn't capable of running a 64 bit version and that i should alternatively download a 32 bit version. I then attempted to download Microsoft's W11 64 bit ARM for my Parallels virtual machine in the hopes that the 64 bit version of MS projects would be able to run, however after downloading the W11 64 bit ARM, I couldn't even mount the file. Would purchasing a windows 11 product key (home or pro) help in any way? Any advice on a way forward would be appreciated.

    Kgolagano Mogomotsi,

Your issues crosses multiple platforms, Microsoft, Apple and Parallels. I doubt there is anyone on this forum that can offer help or suggestions. I have run Windows 10 with a 32 bit version of Project on Parallels 20.2.1 on an Intel based iMac so unfortunately I can't help directly.

I suggest you post your question to a Parallels forum if you haven't already:

Or try Parallels support. I've found them to be quite helpful in the past. https://www.parallels.com/support/
