Cannot sign in to Defender on child's Android device

Trying the app out to see if it is a good replacement for Bitdefender but so far it's not a good experience.

I have installed it on my Android no problem but my child's will not.

I have given storage and location permissions in Family Link. Qustodio is not blocking the software.

It allows me to sign into my Microsoft account which is the account the 365 family subscription is linked to. It sends me a notification to sign in and shows my account as an option but still says invalid license when I select it.

Device: Pixel 7A running the latest Android update and latest Defender version.

Same issue. How would that have worked? It needs to come up with permissions so that they can be selected and then allowed by apps like Family Link and Qustodio.
