Is there a way to manually enter the range of values (minimum and maximum) on the app version of excel? Important note: regardless of the range of my data, the chart still starts with y=0 and x=0.

    Hi Dower,

Thank you for reaching out regarding your question about manually setting axis ranges in the Excel mobile app. I understand how important it is to customize charts to accurately represent your data, and I’ll gladly assist you.

As of now, the Excel mobile app (iOS/Android) does not support manually adjusting the minimum/maximum values or starting points (x=0, y=0) for chart axes. Unlike the desktop version of Excel, where you can right-click the axis and select "Format Axis" to set custom bounds, this feature is not available in the mobile app.

    Alternatives you might consider:

    1. Use Excel Desktop/Web for Advanced Adjustments
    • If possible, open the file in Excel for desktop (Windows/Mac) or Excel for the web to adjust the axis range:
    • Right-click the axis → Format Axis → Set Minimum/Maximum bounds under "Axis Options."
    • Save the file afterward the changes will sync to the mobile app.
    1. Modify Your Data Range
    • Temporarily adjust your dataset to include "dummy" values that force the desired axis range (e.g., add a row with your preferred min/max values).
    1. Submit a Feature Request
    • Microsoft values user feedback. You can request this feature via: Ideas · Community
    • Excel Mobile App: Help → Feedback.

The mobile app prioritizes core functionality for on-the-go editing, but advanced chart customization remains limited. We recommend using the desktop or web version for finer control.
