Thank you for reaching out Microsoft Community regarding your question about Extension - 1.0.0.5 popped up under driver updates on your Surface Go 3. This is not under HP. Possible this popped up driver update is a HID (Human Interface Device) functionality or device compatibility enhancements.
To check on this popped up extension message will check this driver if this will be detected by Windows Update or Surface App.
CHECK AVAILABLE DRIVER OR WINDOWS UPDATED USING WINDOWS UPDATE Step 1: Tap the Start or Windows button Step 2: Tap settings Step 3: Type "Windows Update Settings". Step 4: on the top right section of the screen tap "Check for updates"
(Windows will search for available updates including system, security, and driver updates).
Step 5: Download and Install (If updates are found, click Download or Install. Some updates may require a restart to complete installation).
Step 6: Restart Your Device
DOWNLOAD SURFACE APP FROM WINDOWS STORE If you dont have Surface App yet on your Surface device follow this steps. Step 1: Open any browser Step 1: Go to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=105302 Step 3: log in using your Microsoft Account tap download Step 4: install the Surface App
CHECK DRIVER UPDATES USING SURFACE APP Step 1: Open the Surface app from the Start menu. Step 2: Go to Device Information. Step 3: Tap Check for updates — this redirects to Windows Update, which Step 4: includes Surface-specific firmware and driver packages. Step 5: If updates are available, install them and restart your device. Step 6: Restart Your Device
