I got my academic status verified, but I still can't access Azure student benefits

Hi! I got my academic status verified to create an Azure for student account through the form on this site https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/free/students/ , but I still can't access the student benefits in my Azure portal. I did get the "congratulations! your academic status has been successfully verified.", yet the option "access student benefits" is not there, and there is no active subscription going on. I tried to reach out to support through my azure portal, but I keep getting this error message that prevents me from reaching the support team. When I follow the instructions to sign in again through the error message, I receive a new error. Please take a look at the screenshots. It seems like there is no way for me to reach azure support without signing in. Please help me. The only support I could reach out to was https://support.microsoft.com/home/contact/education but they say they couldn't help me with this case.
I did follow these steps:
- sign out from all ms-related sites
- opened an "in private" window in Edge
- created a new private email
- used that email to sign in to create an azure student account
- used my school email when filling out the verification form
- received the verification link in my school email inbox, and followed the steps to get my academic status verified

You successfully verified your academic status through the Azure for Students portal, received a confirmation message, but still cannot access student benefits or see an active subscription in your Azure portal. Additionally, you're unable to reach Azure support due to sign-in errors.
- The Microsoft account used to sign in is not properly linked to the verified school email.
- The "academic verification" step only confirms eligibility. But the subscription itself still has to be provisioned. If something goes wrong during that step, you’ll see exactly what you’re seeing (verified, but no active subscription).
- If you verified using a private Microsoft account (MSA) but later signed in with your school’s Entra ID (work/school) account, Azure may not link the verification properly.
- This issue sometimes occurs due to account or tenant misconfigurations, permission restrictions, or backend synchronization delays.
- The problem can also stem from usage of multiple Microsoft accounts or inconsistent login sessions.
- Support access is restricted unless you're signed in with an active Azure subscription.
Here’s few steps to follow to resolve this:
- Ensure signing in to the Azure portal with the exact Microsoft account used when creating the Azure for Students account and completing verification.
- Subscription Activation:
- Go to Azure for Students > Sign in with the same Microsoft account used during verification
- Click “Activate” or “Get started” again to re-trigger the subscription setup
- check your Azure directory/account
- Go to Azure portal.
- Switch directory (go to profile in top-right corner > your account > “Switch directory”).
- See if your Azure for Students subscription is hiding under another directory.
