Hello everyone. Please excuse my non-perfect english,as English is not my main language.

When i wake my Lenovo ThinkPad T490s up from standby mode, and unlock it,the search icon turns colored, like in the image i put here instead of remaining white

.If i hover the mouse pointer over it,it turns back to white. It is a bit annoying. Can i somehow fix this? I am running Windows 11 Pro 24H2 on it. On my desktop computer, which runs Windows 11 Pro 24H2 too, this does not happen. So,any way i could fix this? The symptom is in the linked image.kép

    Hi,

That colored icon should normally only appear when the taskbar search is open. In this case, it looks like an icon rendering glitch occurring after the device wakes from sleep. When was the last time you rebooted your laptop? A restart often helps refresh the system and clear out these temporary display issues.

If the problem persists even after a restart, try updating your graphics driver or checking for the latest Windows updates, as these can also address rendering glitches.

This indeed seems to be a bug. It is happening on all of my 4-5 computers and it is still present in 25H2 build 26200.7171 (Nov 2025).

It's been driving me crazy so I switched to "icon and label"...
