after updating to 2025-10 Cumulative Update for Windows 11, version 25H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5070773) (26200.6901) my built in finger print stopped working

I also see the issue with the October updates. Removed KB5066835 and the fingerprint login started working again. Reinstalled and it broke again.
I have removed my fingerprint and PIN, restarted the computer, re-added the PIN and fingerprint, but continue to experience the same issue. By re-adding my PIN and fingerprint, I know the fingerprint device is working properly.
I reinstalled Windows 11 25H2 and installed all currently available updates. I continue to see the same problem.
The device is operational. I can delete and reregister my fingerprint in Windows Hello.

Hi Kaleb,
This could be a driver issue or conflict with the latest update. Try going to Device manager Click WinKey+R type devmgmt.msc and find Biometric Devices, right click your fingerprint sensor and select uninstall device, then restart your device. Windows will automatically reinstall its driver.
