When I click this toggle, it switches on and immediately off. I recently noticed this problem, but it used to work before.

    Dear @Михаил,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

I understand that when you try to turn on the Show mobile device in File Explorer option, the toggle is greyed out and doesn’t respond. It worked before, but now you can’t enable it.”

To better assistance, could you please confirm following information:

    1. Are you signed in with the same Microsoft account on both PC and phone?
    2. Do you have more than one phone paired with Phone Link?
    3. Did you recently update Windows or your phone’s OS?
    4. Does the toggle stay greyed out for all paired phones, or just this one?
    5. In Phone Link, does the device show as Enabled/Connected otherwise (calls, messages, photos working)?

In the meantime, I recommend some steps below:

    Update and check basics

    • Update Phone Link on PC and Link to Windows on phone.
    • Ensure PC is on Windows 11 and phone is Android 11 or later.
    • Confirm same Microsoft account on both devices.

    Only one phone can show

    • Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Mobile devices > Manage devices.
    • Turn Off other phones if listed.

    Refresh the connection

    • Remove the phone from PC settings.
    • Sign out and clear cache/data for Link to Windows on phone.
    • Re-pair using QR code in Phone Link.

    Check PC services & firewall

    • Ensure Connected Devices Platform Service is running.
    • Allow Phone Link through Windows Firewall

Please understand that our initial response does not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.

I truly appreciate your patience and understanding. If you have any further questions or need further clarification, please feel free to reach out. I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

    Thank you for your cooperation.

Thanks for your response, @Kal-D !

The issue has somehow resolved itself, and I can see the phone in Explorer again. I didn't take any action, and there have been no updates since the problem first appeared. I can't say I'm happy about this, as I assume the issue could recur.
