Customize Tags for Onenote on iMac

Customize Tags not working. I have the option to create a customized tag on my iMac and the "Customize Tag" opens up but I am not able to create a tag. Anyone know why and how to fix this issue? I have closed the app, uninstalled the app, restarted my computer and nothing is fixed. I have completely different Tags online but they are not showing up on my desktop version.

Please explain what can't create actually means.

No disrespect, but it's a rather straightforward process:

Launch the Create New Tag pane

Type a Name for the tag

Pick an Icon

Click the Create Button

Exactly where is it failing... Exactly what happens.

Include the specific Version Number of your Office software & macOS in your reply.

Hi, thanks for sharing this. Are you referring to the Tags feature in OneNote or Outlook on your iMac?

If it’s OneNote, custom tags don’t sync between OneNote for Mac and OneNote Online. Microsoft only supports tag customization in the desktop app, and those tags stay local to that version. Make sure you’re signed in with the same Microsoft account, your notebook is stored in OneDrive or SharePoint, and the app is fully updated through Microsoft AutoUpdate.
