Why is my “Microsoft Outlook Object Library” reference missing after I updated to the “New Outlook” in Microsoft 365?

Although I’m a novice, I manage an access database that generates multiple emails via VBA. We recently updated to the “New Outlook” and following the update, the emails will no longer generate, due to a missing “Microsoft Outlook Object Library”. (When I looked in the VBA references it was identified as missing)

I looked for a new “Microsoft Outlook Object Library” in the references list, but did not see anything that was clearly associated with Microsoft Outlook.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

This has been an issue for a while. There are many pages on the web about rolling back to the “classic” Outlook and other strategies. Consider reviewing this article from Access Forever.
