If you are unable to see your files in Microsoft Teams channels, there are a few potential causes:

    1. Group Ownership Issues: The absence of ownership information for the Microsoft 365 group associated with your team can lead to file access problems. This situation often arises when an assigned owner has left the organization, resulting in an orphaned group. To fix this, a new owner needs to be assigned to the Microsoft 365 group.
    2. Temporary Glitches: The issue might be temporary. If you receive an error indicating that the app cannot be reached, it may resolve itself after some time. If the problem continues, consider running a self-diagnostics tool to check for any known issues.
    3. Access Permissions: Verify that you have the appropriate permissions to access the files. Changes in permissions or settings could impact your ability to view the files.

If these suggestions do not resolve the issue, it may be beneficial to contact your IT support team or Microsoft support for further help.

    Hello @Carol Allen,

Good day! Thank you for posting your valuable question on Microsoft Q&A forum.

I'm sincerely sorry for the inconvenience you're experiencing.

To provide the most accurate and helpful solution, could you share a bit more detail about your situation?

    • Are you signed in with a personal account (e.g., Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook.com) or a work/school account linked to your organization’s domain?
    • If you sign in on another device, does the issue still occur?
    • Have you tried using other Teams platforms (mobile app, web version)? If so, does the problem persist across all platforms?
    • What operating system(s) are you using (e.g., Windows, macOS, iOS, Android)?
    • Do you have multiple accounts signed in to Teams?
    • Have you recently made any changes to your device (such as updates or configuration changes)?
    • Since you’re the owner of the sites, are you also the owner of the files?

This additional context will help us better understand your environment and the steps already taken, so we can tailor our guidance accordingly.

I apologize for not jumping straight to a solution. I want to avoid suggesting anything that might be inaccurate or unhelpful. Once I have the details above, I’ll be able to assist you more effectively and guide you toward the right resolution.

Looking forward to your response so we can get this sorted out for you as soon as possible.

I guess that your "issue" is related to the fact that the "Files" tab was recently replaced with the "Shared" tab.
