    Hi,

To connect your quiz in forms to your PowerPoint presentation, you can use the built-in Microsoft Forms add-in** in PowerPoint to embed the quiz directly into a slide**.

Here are the steps that you can try:

    Using the Forms Add-in

    1. Open your presentation in the PowerPoint desktop app or on the web and select the slide where you want the quiz to appear.
    2. Go to the Insert tab on the ribbon and select Forms.
      • Note: If you don't see the Forms icon, your administrator might have disabled the feature, or you may need to sign in to Microsoft 365 with your work/school account. You might also need to install the add-in manually by going to Insert > Get Add-ins.
    3. A Forms panel will open on the right side of your presentation window.
    4. Under My forms, find the quiz you want to insert. Hover over its title and select Insert.
    5. The quiz will now be embedded in your slide. You can resize and move it as needed.
    6. When you present your slide show, the audience can interact with the form directly on the slide, and you can even choose the "Present for interactive meetings" option to display live results in real-time.

    Alternative Method: Inserting a Hyperlink

If direct embedding isn't working, you can insert a hyperlink to the quiz, which will open it in a web browser when clicked during the presentation:

    1. Go to the Microsoft Forms website and open your quiz.
    2. Click the Collect responses button in the top-right corner.
3. Choose your desired sharing options (e.g., "Anyone can respond") and click the Copy link button to get the URL.
    4. In your PowerPoint slide, select the text or an image that you want to use as the link (e.g., "Take the Quiz").
    5. Go to the Insert tab and select Link > Insert Link.
    6. In the address field, paste the URL you copied from Microsoft Forms and click OK

Hope that this step by step information helps.

    Kind regards,

    Hi,

It sounds like the hyperlink approach worked for you, which is great. The fully interactive features, like showing live results inside the slide or letting people participate directly in the presentation, are tied to Microsoft 365’s Forms add-in or specific interactive presentation modes. Since the add-in isn’t working on your end, those built-in features won’t be available through the hyperlink method. With hyperlinks, your audience will always be taken to the quiz in a separate browser tab. Still, you can create a similar experience by opening the quiz in a browser yourself and sharing that window during the presentation. You can try this.

How to Manually Display Live Results

    1. Audience takes the quiz: During your presentation, display the slide with the hyperlink and ask your audience to click it on their own devices or on the presentation screen (if applicable).
    2. Open the Forms results page: As the audience is responding, have the quiz results page open in a separate web browser tab on your presenter computer.
    3. Switch screens: After a few minutes, minimize or switch away from your PowerPoint presentation to the web browser tab showing the live results page on the main display for the audience to see. The results update in real-time as people submit responses.

    Troubleshooting the Forms Add-in

If you want that smooth “interactive meeting” experience, it may help to look again at why the Forms add-in didn’t work, since the issue could be tied to your PowerPoint version, your organization’s permissions, or the type of Microsoft account you’re using. The add-in only works with Microsoft 365 versions of PowerPoint on the web, Windows, or macOS, so older versions like Office 2019 or 2016 won’t support it, and in some organizations an IT admin has to enable add-ins before they appear.

If you’re on a supported version and the add-in still isn’t showing, you can try installing it manually from the Microsoft AppSource store by opening PowerPoint and going to Insert > Get Add-ins (or My Add-ins), searching for Microsoft Forms, and then selecting Add; once it installs, it should appear in your Insert tab automatically.

If you can get the add-in working, the "present for interactive meetings" option will become available, offering the seamless experience you are looking for.

    Kind regards,
