To remove your child from a Microsoft family account so they can join a new subscription, you will need to ensure that they leave the existing family group first. Here are the steps you can follow:

    1. Sign in to your Microsoft account: Go to the Microsoft Family Safety website and sign in with your account.
    2. Manage family members: Navigate to the family group settings where you can see all family members.
    3. Remove your child: Find your child's account and select the option to remove them from the family group. This action will allow them to leave the old family account.
    4. Confirm removal: Follow any prompts to confirm the removal.
    5. Join a new family group: Once removed, your child can then join a new family group or subscription.

If you encounter issues, ensure that you have the necessary permissions to manage family members, as sometimes restrictions may apply depending on the account type.

    Hello,

Try to invite your child to a newly created family group if they’re stuck in the old one, no need to go into the old family safety account if you don’t have access.

    Hope this helps,

    JC
