I cannot redeem productcode as microsoft setup keeps saying service is unavailable due to technical issues.

I bought a productode which I would like to redeem so I can use Microsoft 365 apps on my macbook but I can't even install the apps on my macbook because the office setup link for redeeming the code always goes to say "technical issues" regardless if I try to download the 32 or 64 bit. And this is not the first time. A while back just the same issue and I thought ok, I will just wait then there might be some server issues. But twice in a row is just sketchy.

I've also done all the things already recommended (different browsers, emptied cache, via anonymous browsers, checking the status of the service which was operational) and nothing worked.

Help please!

It seems that you are experiencing persistent issues with redeeming your product code for Microsoft 365 apps on your MacBook due to technical problems with the setup service. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

    1. Check Service Status: Although you mentioned checking the service status, it's worth confirming again on the official Microsoft service status page to ensure there are no ongoing issues.
    2. Clear Browser Cache: Since you've already tried different browsers and cleared the cache, ensure that cookies are also cleared. Sometimes, residual data can cause issues.
    3. Use a Different Network: If possible, try redeeming the product code using a different internet connection. This can help rule out any network-related issues.
    4. Try the Microsoft 365 Uninstall Troubleshooter: If you have any previous installations of Microsoft 365, use the troubleshooter to remove them completely before attempting to redeem the code again.
    5. Contact Microsoft Support: If the problem persists, it may be best to reach out to Microsoft Support directly. They can provide assistance specific to your account and product code.
    6. Wait and Retry: Given that you have faced this issue before, it might be worth waiting a bit longer and trying again later, as the issue could be due to temporary server problems on Microsoft's end.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, contacting Microsoft Support would be the most effective way to get your problem addressed.

Which specific product name is this? A subscription such as Microsoft 365? Or a perpetual license such as Office 2024? If it is a perpetual license, is it called Office Home & Business 2024 or something else?
