    Hi Robert,

Thank you for sharing your question. I understand how annoying it is when Outlook won't sync with your Yahoo account or let you log in. That's usually because Yahoo changed some security stuff, or your settings are old. I am here to help.

Based on my knowledge Yahoo now wants you to use OAuth for Outlook, not those app passwords anymore.

If you have an old version of Outlook or your IMAP settings are wrong, it might not sync.

Heads up: Outlook.com doesn't sync other email accounts directly anymore.

    Here’s how to fix it.

Add Yahoo with OAuth (no app password needed):

In Outlook, click File > Add Account.

Type in your Yahoo email and hit Connect.

A Yahoo login box will pop up—put in your regular password and do the two-step thing if you have it.

When it asks, click Agree to allow access.

This works if your Outlook is up to date (Current Channel or newer).

Update Outlook to the newest version.

I hope this answer is helpful, if you have any questions, feel free to reply.

    Best Regards,

    Noel
