Xbox PC App says it's launching but never does

If the Xbox PC App is saying it's launching but never actually does, here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

1. Ensure Gaming Services are up to date: Sometimes, outdated Gaming Services can cause issues. You can check the version in Add or Remove Programs. To force an update, follow these steps:
   • Launch PowerShell as an administrator and enter get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers.
   • Then, in the same PowerShell window, enter start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN to reinstall Gaming Services.
2. Check Xbox App updates: Make sure the Xbox App is also up to date. If you have been in a dev sandbox for a while, it may not be updated. Switch to RETAIL and update it:
   • Launch PowerShell as an administrator and enter get-appxpackage Microsoft.XboxApp | remove-AppxPackage -allusers.
   • Then, enter start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9mv0b5hzvk9z to reinstall the Xbox App.
3. Reset the Xbox App: If the app still fails to launch, you can try resetting it using the Reset-AppxPackage cmdlet in PowerShell.
4. Check for corrupted installations: If you suspect the installation might be corrupted, you can use the Windows Package Manager (winget) to reinstall the app. Use the command winget install <AppName> after searching for the app with winget search <AppName>.
5. Event Logs: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, check the Application and System Event Logs for any errors that might provide more insight into the problem.

These steps should help in resolving the issue with the Xbox PC App not launching properly.
