I purchased a new macbook and migrated all files, documents, etc. from my old laptop. Had to upgrade Microsoft Office, but now can't save anything to excel or word documents.

If you're having trouble saving documents in Microsoft Office after migrating files to your new MacBook, there could be several reasons for this issue:

    1. Permissions: Ensure that you have the necessary permissions to save files in the locations where you're trying to save them. You need both read and write permissions for the folder.
    2. Disk Space: Check if there is sufficient disk space on your new MacBook. If the disk is full, you won't be able to save any new files.
    3. Antivirus Software: Sometimes, antivirus software can interfere with the saving process. Try temporarily disabling your antivirus software to see if that resolves the issue.
    4. File Sharing: If you are trying to save a shared document that another user is currently editing, you may encounter issues. Ensure that no one else is trying to save the same document at the same time.
    5. File Naming: Make sure that the file name and path do not exceed the character limit. If the path is longer than 218 characters, you may receive an error message.

If none of these solutions work, consider checking for updates for Microsoft Office or reinstalling the software to ensure that everything is functioning correctly after the migration.
