How can I gain access to my email if I lost access to my recovery email.

Hello,

It's been a while since I asked this question, and I wanted to add an update.

I still haven't been able to regain access to my account. I entered the correct information in the form, including my most recent sent email and its information, and it still says my information is insufficient. I was told the form previously included sections of information that could have helped me in this situation (folder titles, emails received, etc.), so I'm hoping the form can be updated in the future to include those sections for those of us who lost access to our accounts and recovery emails. I also originally had this email on my authenticator, but it disappeared, so I'm really not sure what else I can do.

I wanted to add that I found someone else who recently had the same issue on Microsoft Learn. I did not change my password, and since all my accounts with that email address have been okay, I'm pretty sure Microsoft somehow locked me out of my account, maybe due to a glitch. I think it's important that Microsoft be aware that this could happen to others.

Please let me know if there's anything else I can do to recover my account. I'm sure it's lost now, since the form won't accept information that's correct about my account.

Thanks.

To recover access to your email account when you've lost access to your recovery email, you can follow these steps:

    1. Use the Account Recovery Form: If you haven't already, try using the account recovery form provided by Microsoft. Make sure to provide as much accurate information as possible about your account, including any recent emails you sent, contacts, and other details that can help verify your identity.
    2. Check Your Authenticator App: If you previously had your email account set up in an authenticator app, check if you can still access it there. Sometimes, accounts may still be listed even if they seem to have disappeared.
    3. Contact Microsoft Support: If the recovery form continues to reject your information, consider reaching out to Microsoft support directly. Explain your situation in detail, including the steps you've already taken. They may be able to provide additional assistance or escalate your case.
    4. Alternative Recovery Options: If you have any other recovery options set up (like a phone number or alternative email), try using those to regain access.
    5. Document Your Attempts: Keep a record of your attempts to recover the account, including dates and any communications with support. This may help if you need to escalate the issue further.

Unfortunately, if the recovery form does not accept your information, it may be challenging to regain access without further assistance from Microsoft. It's important to ensure that any future recovery options are updated and accurate to avoid similar issues.

Hi! Could you please let me know exactly what happens when you try to sign in to the account? Do you get an error message saying the account is blocked due to suspicious activity, or do you just get that the password is wrong? Also, what happens if you try to change the password using your security/contact methods?
