Copilot Studio Agent displaying 90% of response, but then reverting to Fallback topic.

Hi, we built a Copilot Studio agent to return information from document held within a SharePoint library. The agent was created recently and the Knowledge added successfully.
When asking a question, the Gen AI invokes the Conversational Boosting topic, which then proceeds to output about 90% of the expected response. Before the remainder of the response is presented, everything is deleted from the output channel, and the Fallback topic is invoked.
We have tried to re-create the agent, using mostly default settings/configuration and also trying 4.1 and 5 chatGPT models. The behavior remains consistent.
This would appear to be a product bug and from other published articles/questions Microsoft have been aware of this for quite some time.
Can you please inform us of any workaround, or expected resolution date for this very fundamental issue?
