If you're locked out of your laptop due to parental controls, you will need to access the family account settings to adjust the restrictions. Since you mentioned that you have two accounts (one as a parent and one as a child), you should log in to the parent account. From there, you can modify the parental controls settings for your current account.

Here are the steps you can follow:

    1. Log in to the parent account on your laptop.
    2. Navigate to the Family Safety settings or Parental Controls section in the Control Panel.
    3. Look for the account that is currently locked and adjust the time restrictions or any other settings that are preventing access.
    4. Save the changes and try logging back into your account.

If you do not have access to the parent account, you may need to contact the person who manages that account to help you unlock your access.

    Hi Joshua,

Thank you for sharing your question. I understand that you’re locked out of your laptop because of the parental controls, and you see two accounts in your Microsoft Family thing one for a parent and one for the kid, which is you. I am here to help.

Based on my knowledge  Microsoft Family Safety puts time limits and stuff based on who’s who. If your main account is the kid, it’ll stick to the schedule (like starting at 8 AM). The parent account gets to control everything. If both accounts are yours, you gotta log in as the parent to change or delete the limits.

    Here’s what you can do

Go to Microsoft Family Safety and log in as the parent.

Find your kid account (the one that’s locked).

Trash the time limits or turn it into an organizer (parent).

If you don’t care about Family Safety, just kick the kid account out of the family group.

Restart your laptop and log in again.

If you can’t get into the parent account, do this:

Go to account.live.com/password/reset to get it back.

Once you’re back in, log in and change what you need to.

    I hope this helps.

    Best Regards,

    Noel
