This is very urgent.

I am asking from my alt account.

Last night my microsoft account got hacked and the security alerts and emails were sent to my SPAM. (Both Outlook and gmail)

Here is the image for your reference. My account email (alias) was changed, security info deleted and replaced by an email named [PII Removed]. I had my passkey enabled and set up as well. And now when i try to sign back in to my account, it says the account doesn't exist anymore. I've also changed the password for my google account after this. I cannot even get help from this link https://support.microsoft.com/home/contact?linkquery=Help%20me%20sign%20in%20to%20my%20Microsoft%20account. BECAUSE MY ACCOUNT DOESN'T EXIST ANYMORE.

And as you can see, my Ubisoft account was also hacked and password changed.

Is this the level of security that Microsoft, one of the largest companies in the world, provides? Searching on the internet shows me many more cases just like this and hundreds of people have lost their accounts in the same way. PLEASE help me get back into my account as soon as possible, it is more than 5 years old and I don't know why this should be happening now. I have also ran full scans of my pc with Windows Defender.

Hey there! Nice to meet you!

I'm sorry you are experiencing this.

The only way to recover a hacked account is through the official Microsoft troubleshooter guide:

    https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/how-to-recover-a-hacked-or-compromised-microsoft-account-24ca907d-bcdf-a44b-4656-47f0cd89c245

If the account recovery web form doesn't work, and since the security info has been replaced by the hacker, I'm afraid there is no other working method to recover the Microsoft account, and Microsoft Support cannot help either.

Also, based on your description, the hacker accessed your account 30 days ago and requested a security information change, which requires a 30‑day completion period. The successful change indicates that the 30‑day security has now been completed.

For possible reasons as to how your account was hacked, this was properly explained by the user David Warner from this thread: https://v4.hkg1.meaqua.org/answers/questions/1195380/why-was-someone-able-to-access-my-account-despite

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Best regards,

    Darhyl

I appreciate the response; however, please keep in mind that the hacker has access to your account and knows exactly how to carry out a successful hack.

Once they have requested a change to the security information, they will immediately delete the security alert from your email, so the owner will not be notified until the 30‑day restriction period ends.

    Best regards,

    Darhyl
