I purchased a Microsoft 365 Personal subscription through my Apple ID on 9 December 2025, but it does not activateon my Microsoft account. Restore Purchases shows an error, and the subscription does not appear on account.microsoft.com.

How can I link my Apple subscription to my Microsoft account?

To link your Microsoft 365 subscription purchased through your Apple ID to your Microsoft account, you may need to ensure that the subscription is properly recognized by Microsoft. Here are some steps you can take:

    1. Check Subscription Status: Ensure that your subscription is active and not expired. You can do this by checking your Apple ID account for the status of your Microsoft 365 subscription.
    2. Sign In with the Correct Account: Make sure you are signing into your Microsoft account that is supposed to be linked to your subscription. Sometimes, users may accidentally sign in with a different account.
    3. Restore Purchases: If you are receiving an error when trying to restore purchases, ensure you are using the correct app and that your device is connected to the internet. You might also want to try restarting the app or your device.
    4. Contact Support: If the issue persists, consider reaching out to Microsoft Support for assistance. They can help you troubleshoot the issue and verify your subscription.

Unfortunately, the context provided does not contain specific instructions for linking an Apple subscription to a Microsoft account, so contacting support may be your best option if the above steps do not resolve the issue.

    Hi Zahra ,

Thank you for sharing your question. I understand about the problem you're having with your Microsoft 365 Personal subscription from Apple. I am here to help.

I get how annoying it can be when you see the purchase in your Apple subscription history but it's not showing up in your Microsoft account or working in your Office apps.

Here's what's up: Subscriptions bought through Apple don't automatically link to your Microsoft account. You have to do it manually through the Office app on your device. So, to fix this, open any Office app and sign out completely. Then, look for a Restore Purchases option and use it. This should find your active subscription in your Apple ID. After that, sign back in, but make sure you're using your Microsoft account this time, not your Apple ID. It's important to use the Microsoft account you want the subscription linked to. Once you're signed in, Office should recognize the subscription and get activated.

     I hope this helps.

    Best Regards,

    Noel
