Hello,

I need your help regarding cancel my Azure membership. I have not been using Azure for over a year and I have been trying to reach support to cancel. I have been billed 36.00 for months.

I like this to stop please.

Any time I try to connect my account, the online system continues to say check back later. I am not sure even how to fix that. I was asked to help set up Azure for a project that eventaully did not work.

So I need your help to cancel. I am providing my invoice info as a reference.

To cancel your Azure subscription, you can follow these steps in the Azure portal:

    1. Sign in to the Azure portal.
    2. Navigate to Cost Management + Billing.
    3. Select Subscriptions or Azure subscriptions from the left menu.
    4. Choose the subscription you want to cancel.
    5. At the top of the page, click Cancel.
    6. If you have any resources associated with the subscription, you will need to select Turn off resources to stop them.
    7. Finally, confirm the cancellation by selecting Cancel subscription.

After you cancel, Azure will close your current billing cycle within 72 hours, and you will receive your final invoice for the usage incurred in the last billing cycle. Keep in mind that you may not receive your final bill on the same day you cancel your subscription; it could take up to three days after cancellation.

If you continue to experience issues accessing your account or the Azure portal, you may want to try clearing your browser cache or using a different browser. If the problem persists, consider reaching out to Azure support through the Azure portal for further assistance.

Hello Philip Insisiengmay, I can understand how frustrating it must be to keep getting billed for a service you're not actively using. Here’s how you can cancel your Azure subscription:

    1. Log into the Azure Portal: Go to the Azure portal.
    2. Navigate to Cost Management + Billing: In the left sidebar, select Cost Management + Billing.
    3. Select Your Subscription: Under Subscriptions, find and select the subscription you wish to cancel.
    4. Cancel the Subscription:
      • Click on Cancel subscription at the top of the page.
      • Choose a cancellation reason when prompted.
      • If you have any active resources, make sure to select the option to turn off resources. It’s important to back up any data you need before doing this!
    5. Review Final Charges: After cancellation, you will receive a final invoice later, which reflects any outstanding charges.

Important Note: It can take up to 10 minutes for the cancellation to show in the portal, so don't worry if you don't see it immediately.

Since you mentioned issues connecting to your account, if the above steps don't work, you might need to check whether you have the necessary permissions to cancel the subscription.

If you're still running into problems with accessing your account or need further assistance, consider contacting Azure support directly.

Here are some resources that can help you further:

Hope this helps you get everything sorted out! Let me know if you have any more questions.
