If you've recently performed a factory reset on your phone and are encountering issues with your authenticator app, here are some steps to help you resolve the situation:

    1. Reinstall the Authenticator App: Download the Microsoft Authenticator app again from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
    2. Recover Your Accounts: If you had previously set up backup options or recovery codes for your accounts, use those to regain access. Many services provide backup codes for account recovery.
    3. Contact Support: If you're unable to access your accounts due to the authenticator app, reach out to the support team of the services you are trying to access. They can assist you in resetting your multi-factor authentication (MFA) settings.
    4. Use App Passwords: For legacy applications that do not support modern authentication, you may need to use app passwords. Check if your organization allows this and follow the necessary steps to set them up.
    5. Keep the Authenticator App Installed: It's essential to keep the authenticator app on your device as long as you need it for MFA. Deleting it can lead to difficulties accessing your accounts.
    6. Push Notifications: If you are using an app like Auth0 Guardian, remember that it sends push notifications instead of codes. Make sure notifications are enabled for the app to receive the authentication prompts.

By following these steps, you should be able to regain access to your accounts and properly set up your authenticator app.
