Did the person sharing the Microsoft 365 Family subscription send you a share link to get the Office apps, then did you use that link on your Microsoft account online to download and install the Office apps?
If that is the process that was performed, open Word, at the top right, log out of Office, restart (not shut down) your PC, then log back into Office to check if the Office licence is then recognised correctly.
