If you're unable to receive a verification code on your phone for two-step verification, here are some steps you can take:

    1. Check Your Phone Settings: Ensure that your phone is not blocking calls or messages from unknown numbers. Sometimes, third-party security apps can also block verification messages, so consider disabling them temporarily.
    2. Use Alternative Verification Methods: If you have set up other verification methods, such as receiving a code via email or using an authenticator app, try selecting those options instead. You can choose Other verification options on the sign-in page.
    3. Confirm Your Phone Number: Make sure that the phone number associated with your account is correct. You may need to ask another admin to check your user settings if you're part of an organization.
    4. Try Again: Microsoft allows you to attempt to receive the verification code multiple times. Try requesting the code again after a few minutes.
    5. Contact Support: If none of these steps work, you may need to contact Microsoft support for further assistance. They can help you troubleshoot the issue more effectively.

For more detailed troubleshooting steps, you can refer to the Microsoft support documentation.

Hi Rippon Miah, I understand how stressful it is to be locked out of your email especially when two-step verification isnt working as expected.

Check with your carrier to ensure SMS codes aren’t blocked, add an authenticator app as a backup, remove and readd your phone number after signing in with your backup email use a recovery code if available and if SMS still fails submit the Microsoft Account Recovery Form for manual verification.

When you try to log in do you see the option to choose your backup email for verification or is the system only attempting to send codes to your phone?

    Best regards

    Lucky
