I can't log into my account even though I'm entering my password correctly. I'm getting a "Verify Account" message and my phone number is being asked to send a verification code. I can't verify my account because I've changed my phone number.

Additional information is being requested to verify my account. I enter my information, but I receive an email saying "Your information could not be verified."

I used this email address on many platforms, and now I'm experiencing problems.

My locked email account: ******@hotmail.com

Hey there! Nice to meet you!

Aside from your recovery phone number, do you have other security information/verification methods, phone, or email address linked to the account?

Do you see any unfamiliar email addresses/phone numbers upon signing in to your account?

Did you have two-factor authentication (2FA) active on the account? If yes, do you still have the 25-character recovery codes?

Lastly, may I know when was the last time you successfully signed in to your Microsoft account?

    Best regards,

    Darhyl

If you are unable to access your account because you have changed your phone number, you will need to update your account settings to reflect your new phone number. Here are the steps you can take:

    1. Contact Support: Since you cannot verify your account using the old phone number, you should reach out to Microsoft support for assistance. They can help you regain access to your account.
    2. Use Alternative Verification Methods: If you have set up alternative verification methods (like email or security questions), try using those to verify your identity.
    3. Ask for Help from Another Admin: If your account is part of an organization, another admin may be able to reset your password or update your contact information.
    4. Check Your Email: Ensure that the email address associated with your account is accessible and check for any messages from Microsoft regarding your account verification.
    5. Update Your Phone Number: Once you regain access, make sure to update your phone number in your account settings to avoid similar issues in the future.

If these steps do not resolve your issue, it is best to follow up directly with Microsoft support for further assistance.

Unfortunately, I don't have any other security information/verification methods, phone number, or email address linked to the account.

The account does not have two-factor authentication.

My email is enabled on my phone, but I can't access emails because it requires verification.
