BSOD after installing NVIDIA Game ready driver 591.44

I have recently been experiencing frequent crashes and BSODs while gaming on my PC (Using Windows 11) after installing the new NVIDIA game ready driver which was released on Dec 4 2025. The stop code in event viewer is 0x0000007e (0xffffffffc0000005, 0xfffff8054608f69d, 0xffff9d8ed0271f68, 0xffff9d8ed0271770).

The BSOD with this specific stop code has happened twice ever since I installed the new drivers, and most recently, instead of crashing and returning a BSOD to me, my whole screen froze, and my game's graphics went into a quote unquote low detail mode, where everything in my game looked mushy. This did not happen on previous NVIDIA Game ready drivers, although I am reluctant to downgrade to the old ones as they were also giving me persistent issues where if I were to load a new webpage on Chrome, I would be greeted with a black screen.

(Exact Error Code given in Event Viewer: The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000007e (0xffffffffc0000005, 0xfffff8054608f69d, 0xffff9d8ed0271f68, 0xffff9d8ed0271770). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\121125-7875-01.dmp. Report Id: 6c7ef1a6-8b94-40f5-8a63-1aa9a29f1b60.)

System specifications:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600 6-Core Processor,

GPU: RTX 4070

Baseboard/Motherboard: ASUS PRIME B550M-A WIFI II

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

BSOD issues can have several reasons. It is necessary to investigate.

    Please share the minidump files.

    These files are in C:\Windows\Minidump.

Copy any files you have to your desktop and store them in a ZIP file. Then, upload the ZIP file to the cloud (OneDrive), choose to share it, and get the link.

Then, post the link to the ZIP file here so I can have a look.

    I await your reply.

Hi David, thanks for the reply, and sorry for my late reply. It appears that I am unable to created a zipped folder containing these dump files, as windows says that I have no permission to do so. I can only provide you with a link which gives you a regular file folder in which my dump files are located in.
