I have changed my mail address name and I would like to forward mails from my old mail to the new one

Lots of providers and apps use my old mail name as a verification and they expect me to confirm via their sent mail. However, since I changed my mail address to another due to security concerns, I do not get the mails they send and some of them (Rockstar Games) provide no other alternative or solution. I have been changing my mail information in my accounts as I select another way to log in, but some won't let me do it. Is there any way to forward my old mail's sended mails to my new address? If not, I would like to know if the old address is available so that I can take it again and use it as a bridge to change my informations in my accounts to the new mail address.

    Hi Bora,

Thank you for sharing your question. I understand how annoying it is when you switch your email for security, but you still need to get verification emails sent to the old one. This kinda thing happens a lot because many sites use your original email to make sure it's really you, and if you can't get to it, that can stop key updates from getting through. I am here to help.

Based on my knowledge, most email places don't just forward stuff from an old account to a new one unless you had forwarding set up before you made the change. If you can still get into your old email, you can turn on mail forwarding in the settings there. If the account's gone (deleted or renamed), getting it back might not be doable—it just depends on what the provider lets you do. For Microsoft accounts, once you get rid of an alias or address, they might not let you use it again right away because they're worried about security.

The easiest thing is to see if you can still log into your old email and set up forwarding, or add it as an alias to your new account. If you can't, you'll have to chat with the people providing the services directly and tell them what's up. Sometimes they can verify you in other ways.

    I hope this helps.

    Best Regards,

    Noel
