Hi

Windows setup from Win 7 to Win 10 rolls back in the FIRST BOOT phase with message "0x8007001F-0x3000D The installation failed in the FIRST_BOOT phase with an error during MIGRATE_DATA operation".

Could someone create a fixlist.txt for FRST?

FRST and setuperr logs are in the link

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1pb1dPEdd86Kpqd_w4nHkCaR424IEhYKt?usp=sharing

Im using the installation option keep personal files and app and do not want do a clean installation as there I need the installed apps.

In registry the ProfilesDirectory value is D:\Users

That will cause problems during the setup.

    Please do the following:

1] Backup the registry using Acelogix Regbak.

    2] Run the fixlist below.

    • Rename FRST64.exe to FRST64English.exe.
    • Download fixlist.txt
    • Save Fixlist.txt to the same folder as FRST64English.exe.
    • Close all programs.
    • Launch the Farbar Scanner tool and click "Fix".
    • Restart Windows when prompted.
    • Upload the output log file (FixLog.txt) to your OneDrive.

NOTE: The fixlist.txt script was written specifically for this user and for use on that particular machine. It is not recommended to run it on another machine, and don't run the same fixlist.txt more than once.

Hi, I understand how much you want this upgrade to work without losing your apps. The error happens because Windows can’t properly migrate some user profile data during the first boot phase, usually due to invalid or orphaned profiles, corrupted registry entries, or profiles stored on a different drive. A quick way to start is to check if there are any “Account Unknown” profiles under System Properties then click Advanced then go to User Profiles and remove them after backing up data. Also, make sure you have at least 30 GB free on C:, disconnect any external drives, and run sfc /scannow followed by DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth in an elevated command prompt to repair system files. If the issue persists, could you confirm if any user folders were moved off C: or if you’ve seen duplicate or broken SIDs in the registry under ProfileList? That detail will help me create a precise fixlist for FRST.Regards,
    Aron

    Thank you for quick response!

There was one "Account unknown" which is removed successfully.

The windows 7 is installed in C: drive and there is >30GB space. In the computer there are two fysical drives. The second is named "D".

In registry the ProfilesDirectory value is D:\Users but in the C: drive there is also C:\Users directory.

The screenshots of these are uploaded into the link.

I will try now the installation again and report back.

By removing the user profile in D: disk partition and moving the user data into a newly created profile and changing the registry ProfilesDirectory value to C:\Users the Windows 10 update was succesfull.

    Issue solved!
