To verify a contact in the context of Microsoft products, you may need to ensure that the contact's email address is correctly added and that any verification steps are completed. In some systems, a contact may show as unverified if the verification email has not been sent or confirmed. Here are some general steps you can take:

    1. Check Email Verification: If the system requires email verification, ensure that the contact has received a verification email and that they have completed the verification process.
    2. Add Contact Correctly: Make sure you are adding the contact through the correct interface. For example, in Outlook, you can add contacts by selecting the appropriate option and filling in the required details.
    3. Check for Errors: If the contact is still showing as unverified, check for any errors or issues in the contact details that may prevent it from being added.
    4. Consult Help Resources: If the problem persists, consider consulting the help resources or support for the specific Microsoft product you are using, as they may have specific instructions for verifying contacts.

If you are using PlayFab or another service, ensure that you follow their specific guidelines for verifying contact emails as well.

    Hi Andrew,

Thank you for sharing your question. I understand you're seeing Unverified next to your sister's name, and can't add her as a contact, right? I get why that's annoying. I am here to help.

This usually happens in Microsoft Teams if someone joins a meeting or chat, but doesn't log into a Microsoft account that your company trusts. When they're unverified, Teams usually stops you from doing some things, such as adding them as a contact or chatting.

Here's why this happens and what you can do:

    Reason

If she joins without logging in, Teams marks her as Unverified. It just means Teams can't confirm who she is, which disables things such as adding her as a contact.

    What to do

Have her join the meeting again, but this time, she needs to log in first:

Before she clicks the meeting link, she should log into Teams with a Microsoft account or an Azure AD account.

After logging in, she can click the link and join. Teams should see her as a verified person, and you'll be able to add her as a contact and chat normally.

If she wants to join without logging in, you won't be able to add her as a contact. Logging in fixes everything, though.

    I hope this helps.

    Best Regards,

    Noel
