PDF X can't handle JPEG files that way, you can't set it as default app for JPEG files, only PDF files.
why is PDF X not appearing in my list of default apps

I have downloaded PDF X AND WANT TO USE IT TO OPEN JPEG ATTACHMENTS IN OUTLOOK. WHEN I TRY TO OPEN THE JPEG IT ASKS FOR A FILE TO USE TO OPEN. PDF X IS NOT LISTED ANYWHERE.
