Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

Are you able to see your Office 2024 under the Services & subscriptions page here: https://account.microsoft.com/services (make sure you’re signed in with the same Microsoft account you used to buy Office)?

If you can see it there, please follow these steps below.

Before installing, it’s a good idea to uninstall all existing versions of Office to avoid conflicts.

    Here’s how:

    • Open the Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
    • Look for any version of Microsoft Office or Office apps, right-click, then choose Uninstall. Please uninstall all Office apps.
    • Once that’s done, restart your computer just to be safe.

    Then, to reinstall Microsoft Office:

    • Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services
    • Sign in using the same Microsoft account linked to your subscription.
    • Find your Microsoft (license or subscription type) and click the "Install" button.
    • That will download the installer for the Office apps, just run it and follow the steps.

If anything’s unclear or the "Install" button still doesn’t show, feel free to let me know. I’ll be happy to walk you through it!

I really hope this information is helpful! Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

    Regards,

    John J.D.

It seems like you have successfully installed Office 2024 and activated it, but the application is still displaying Office 2021 in your account settings. This issue can occur due to several reasons:

    1. Residual Files: Even after uninstalling Office 2021, some residual files or settings might still be present. Ensure that you have completely removed all components of Office 2021. You can use the Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant to help with this cleanup.
    2. Activation Issues: Sometimes, the activation process may not fully register the new version. You can try running the following command in an elevated command prompt to reset the licensing status:
         cscript ospp.vbs /rearm

After running this command, restart your computer and check the license status again.
    3. Office Account Sync: Ensure that your Office account is synced properly. Sometimes, signing out and signing back into your Office account can refresh the displayed version.
    4. Repair Office Installation: If the issue persists, you can try repairing your Office installation. Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features, select Microsoft Office 2024, and choose the Repair option.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, you may want to contact Microsoft Support for further assistance.

This could be a license problem. Office Professional 2024 is a volume license product, intended for large organizations such as businesses. If someone sold you Office Professional and led you to believe that you purchased a consumer (home use) version, you should request your money back.
