Unable to unlink device from account?

So I had to set up a new computer for my job. I was required to sign in to a Microsoft account to do so, so I just signed in to mine. The problem is that now my account is "synced" to this device. So any time anyone saves anything to the work computer desktop, it now shows up on my personal device desktop as well. Whenever I download a new game from Steam, the shortcut now shows up on my work computer's desktop. This is a problem. I went into my Microsoft account and followed prompts to disconnect from certain devices, and it was my understanding that after completing this, my account was no longer synced to the work computer. However, today I noticed that it very much still is after seeing changes in my desktop. Everything I'm seeing that's a solution to this issue involves the steps I have already taken (going into the account settings and removing devices), so I'm not at a loss as to how to remove this connection. For the love of god, please make this stop.

Hi, I'm Rodrigo and I will help you.
This is happening because you have the OneDrive backup feature enabled on both devices, disable the feature on one of the devices (or both) to stop the sync.

Right-click the OneDrive icon in the taskbar > Settings > Sync and Backup > Manage Backup > Turn off all options.

The folders you disable on the backup feature, will change and their content may "disappear", but they are in the OneDrive folder, and you can copy/move them from there.
