Before you publish, you should preview your listing and test it end to end yourself by using the preview audience feature. First, set up an audience of people that can test your offer.
After you fill out your offer details, then select publish. The first stage of publishing involves automated validations to check that you submitted the correct package format and metadata. Once that is done, a preview of the offer is created. See the graphic for the status when this step is done. Before you select Go live, go to the Security Store to test the offering yourself.
On the Security Store, you can see the ‘private solutions’ targeted towards your preview audience under the management menu > Private solutions. See screenshot. Now you can select a private solution and test it end to end. To subscribe to a solution, your user needs Marketplace subscription permissions. The user needs to have an Azure subscription owner or contributor role. Once you're satisfied, you can go back to Partner Center and select the Go live button. Going live triggers a manual review process before the offer is made available to all customers.
Testing a paid product
To test a paid product, create a ‘private plan’ on the product that is targeted to your own test subscription with a $0 price.
Get started by navigating to the ‘plans’ page on your offer
Create a new plan. Determined the pricing and availability and indicate that this offer is private. Put the offer into your test subscription.
After you publish, the private plan is available in the Security Store under My Solutions > Private solutions. Select your offer, and the private plan becomes available for you to subscribe to for $0.
