I have recently left my old job and obviously been locked out of my account. However now every time I try and look at my emails (i press any button) it automatically goes off and tries to sign me in, on a separate browser. and i cannot access my emails. I don't know if there is a way to remotely remove this off of my phone outlook.

To remotely remove your email account from Outlook on your mobile device, you can use the remote wipe feature if your device is connected to Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync. Here are the steps you can follow:

    1. Sign in to the Microsoft 365 portal.
    2. Click on Mail.
    3. Click on Settings, then select Options.
    4. In the left navigation pane, click on Phone.
    5. Select the device that you want to wipe.
    6. Click on Wipe Device, and then confirm by clicking Yes when prompted.
    7. After the wipe operation is completed, you should remove the device completely by clicking Delete and confirming with Yes.

This process will remove your email account and any associated data from the device, preventing further sign-in attempts.

    Hello Darcy Allard

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum

From your description, I understand that your Outlook app is stuck in a loop trying to sign you into your old work account, preventing you from accessing your personal email. If I've misunderstood your situation, please feel free to clarify then I'll adjust my recommendations accordingly.

    Please try the following steps:

    1. Remove the account directly from your phone’s Outlook iOS app

    • Open Outlook app > Tap your profile icon (top left) > Settings (bottom left)

    User's image

    • Under General tab > select Accounts, tap the old work account

    User's image

    • Scroll down to select Remove Account

    User's image

    • If the device keeps redirecting to sign-in, force close the app and try again.

    2. Clear Outlook app data (mobile)

This helps when Outlook keeps remembering an old, locked-out account.

    After removing the account:

    • Uninstall Outlook app completely then restarts your phone
    • Reinstall Outlook from App Store
    • Open Outlook to set up only your personal accounts and confirm the old account is no longer listed

Once confirmed, the email account will be removed from the Outlook app on your iOS device.

Feel free to let me know how it goes and which steps you've already tried.
