After trying all of these fixes, stilll get error. In fact, tips does not even appear as an app in settings.
Every time my Windows 11 PC starts up, I get an error message when Tips tries to load.
The first message says "Tips. Unpacking error, please try again later". The second message says "New version detected. Current transfer tasks will be stopped and upgrade will start".
Nothing happens, I've tried disabling Tips but still get the error message.

2025-11-08T10:41:51.9933333+00:00 It may be too early to be sure, but I installed the Windows 11, version 25H2 update on the 20th October followed by the Preview Update (KB5067036) (26200.7019) on the 2nd November and the problem has gone away. I've rebooted several times over the last few days and haven't had the problem.

Before we proceed, I need to ask a few questions to narrow this down.
- Did this issue start recently, or has it been happening since you installed Windows 11?
- Are you signed in with a Microsoft account or a local user account?
- Have you installed any Windows Store updates or used third-party system cleaners recently?
- Do Tips still show up in the background like in Task Manager, even after being disabled?
- Have you tried repairing or resetting the Tips app through Settings?
Now, based on what you shared so far, here’s what I recommend for now.
Step 1) Go to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps
Search for Tips. Click the 3 dots ••• > Advanced Options
First, try Repair. If that doesn’t help, click Reset
Step 2) If Reset fails or the error keeps coming back, right-click Start, and select Windows Terminal Admin. Run this command to remove the Tips app:
Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.Getstarted | Remove-AppxPackage
Then reinstall it:
Get-AppxPackage -allusers Microsoft.Getstarted | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
Wait for the process to finish. Reboot the PC and see if the error still appears.
Step 3) Go to Settings > Personalization > Start
Turn off "Show suggestions in Start." Or Settings > System > Notifications > Additional Settings
Scroll down, disable Tips and Suggestions from the notification list
Step 4) Open Task Scheduler, check under Microsoft > Windows > Experience
Look for any task referencing Tips or Getstarted and disable it
Also, run Autoruns from Microsoft Sysinternals to see if anything is forcing it at startup. You can download it here: https://v4.hkg1.meaqua.org/sysinternals/downloads/autoruns
Let me know your answers to the questions above and whether any of these steps help.

2025-10-22T14:41:27.48+00:00 Hi. I have this problem too. The error and dialog boxes appear to belong to Synology NAS drives. But I don't have one and don't have any Synology software on my PC. Strange ....
I'll try the above 'solution' and see what happens

2025-11-19T19:52:48.2833333+00:00 Could it have something to do with Lenovo specific software? Several of the comments above indicate the computer is a Lenovo. I have a Lenovo also and this is driving me crazy. No Tips or Windows Experience that I can find.
